Our own Kevin Brady was on talkRADIO with Breakfast Show host Paul Ross yesterday morning.
This was the first in a series of a new feature – Just The Job with adview.co.uk – in which Kevin offers his expertise on anything and everything jobs related.
In his first appearance, Kevin talked about the graduate jobs market and outlined how students and recent graduates can stand themselves the best possible chance of impressing an employer.
At one point, host Paul Ross referenced the example of one of his daughters with a degree in Mandarin from the University of Leeds who has yet to hear anything back after applying to many jobs.
Kevin responded by highlighting the frequent media reports highlighting how graduates often end up in casual, non-graduate roles such as working in bars and coffee shops.
Fortunately, the situation’s not as bleak as the media may make out.
Graduates still stand to make significantly more overall than non-graduates in their lifetime. Also, searching and researching for jobs has never been easier.
