Kevin Brady was back on the waves with Just the Job on talkRADIO again today, this time discussing the tricky topic of the EU referendum and the potential impact of a ‘Brexit’.
If you want to listen to the full show you can catch up on Soundcloud. Alternatively you can read the full transcription and offer your thoughts on the AdView site.
After a quick chat about the respective Father’s day celebrations of both host and guest, Paul kicked off the discussion by asking what others in the job search industry are saying about a potential Brexit and its possible effects.
Kevin kept it democratic, highlighting the need to wait for the results on Thursday and the need to adapt to whatever comes. He pointed out how small(ish) businesses are almost split down the middle on the issue, and how this could potentially swing the vote.
Offering his opinion, Kevin stated that many of the controversial EU regulations could hang around if the public votes to remain, and change could be slow. However, he believes that it is better to “peel the bandage off slowly” rather than ripping it off in one go.
Overall, he pointed out the uncertainty of it all, and how a Brexit could create a new set of regulations that could affect all aspects of work.
Kevin also pledged to continue helping out job seekers on adview.co.uk to make the best decisions regarding their careers, regardless of the outcome of Thursday’s vote.
